這些卡會有地區性限制，你在哪個地區買的卡，就只能儲值在某地區的帳號裡進行消費。

以 Amazon 為例，它在許多地區都有開設屬於該地區專屬的 Amazon 網路商城，各地區也幾乎都有販售 Amazon Gift Card，但是你在美國買的卡 (或線上訂購的卡) 不能儲值於日本區的 Amazon 商城帳號裡。

各地區的 Amazon 帳號不僅分別獨立，禮物卡的面額與卡號也不同，無法互通。

Google Play Gift Card 與 Apple 的 iTunes 卡當然也是如此，毫無例外。

無法互通的原因裡，「稅務」一定佔了很大比例。這類型的儲值卡無法在某地區推出，「稅務」依舊在原因裡還是佔了很大的比例。
